The T7 Shield has a maximum read speed of 1,050 MB/s and a maximum write speed of 1,000 MB/s through its USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C connector. It is almost twice as fast as its predecessor, the T5, and up to 9.5 times quicker than a standard external hard disk drive. The T7 Shield offers 256-bit AES hardware encryption to keep data safe and secure even if the T7 Shield is lost. It also has access to Samsung's Magician Software, which allows users to easily control the drive.

On the T7 Shield, you can save photos, games, and 4K and 8K movies. The T7 Shield's USB Type-C connector makes it compatible with a wide range of devices.
