Intel's 15th Generation processors, codenamed "Arrow Lake," represent a significant advancement in CPU technology, focusing on enhanced power efficiency, performance, and integrated AI capabilities. Launched on October 24, 2024, the Arrow Lake lineup introduces the new Intel Core Ultra branding, marking a shift in Intel's processor naming convention.

1. Architecture: Arrow Lake utilizes a disaggregated multi-chip module (MCM) design, building upon the tile-based approach introduced in previous generations. This architecture separates components into distinct tiles for the CPU, GPU, and other functions, allowing for improved modularity and efficiency. 
2. Core Configuration: The flagship processor, the Core Ultra 9 285K, features a 24-core design comprising eight "Lion Cove" performance cores and 16 "Skymont" efficiency cores. Notably, Intel has removed hyperthreading in favor of power efficiency, resulting in 24 threads compared to the previous generation's 32. 
3. Performance and Efficiency: Intel has emphasized power efficiency in the Arrow Lake series, achieving comparable performance to previous generations while significantly reducing power consumption. For instance, during gaming and basic tasks, the Core Ultra 9 285K consumes notably less power, leading to lower temperatures and improved energy efficiency. 
4. Integrated AI Capabilities: Arrow Lake processors are the first in Intel's enthusiast desktop lineup to include a built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for accelerating AI tasks. This integration enhances performance in AI-driven applications and workloads. 
5. Platform Support: The Arrow Lake series introduces the LGA-1851 socket, necessitating new Z890 motherboards. These processors support up to DDR5-6400 memory, with a maximum capacity of 192GB, and offer advanced connectivity options, including integrated Thunderbolt 4 and USB4.
